Our Path Forward - Phase in to 5 Days

Beginning Monday, September 28th, elementary and middle school students will shift to five-days of face-to-face instruction. Although we will transition to a regular schedule, District Six will continue to follow our Covid-19 safety protocols, including enhanced cleaning procedures, temperature checks, and masks during all transition periods and when social distancing is not possible. We look forward to our students returning to a five-day schedule next week. This scheduled transition applies only to students who currently attend face-to-face. District Six will continue to follow the guidance of health professionals and make any needed adjustments should they become necessary. As always, thank you for your continued support.

The Passing of Mrs. Heather Hulsey

Our Dawkins family is heartbroken after learning that one of our art teachers, Heather Hulsey, passed away in a plane accident during a trip to Alaska. Heather was an inspiring teacher who had a tremendous impact on her students and colleagues, and brightened any room with her smile. She was a wonderful person who was well-loved by our school community. Heather's husband, Caleb Hulsey, his brother Mackay, and friend, Kirstin Wright, also passed away. The Hulsey family is strongly connected to our District Six family. This is a tragedy beyond words. We ask that you keep their families in your thoughts and prayers.

Sign Up for a LEAP Day

August 3-7 are identified as LEAP (Learn, Evaluate, Analyze, and Prepare) Days. Your child will be given the opportunity to attend school for one day during the LEAP week, from 9:00-12:30. Students will be divided into small groups for their day of attendance. LEAP days are optional and are not part of the regular school calendar, so students are encouraged, but not required to attend.
